Grizzly Creek Trail Work Day

ROCK CREEK PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION
TRAIL WORK

Calling Volunteers!

I am Chris Evavold and have entered a volunteer agreement between our Rock Creek Protective Association (RCPA) and the USFS to form a trail crew to work on trails that need attention in our drainage. I am looking for volunteers for our Spring Trail Day on Saturday, April 25. After two successful years improving Trail 10 (Babcock Mountain Trail) we are moving on to Grizzly Creek Trail in 2026! I hope you will consider joining us.

Description:
Under a Volunteer Agreement with Lolo National Forest, the RCPA will be adopting USFS trails in the Lower Rock Creek drainage. The USFS is unable to put enough boots on the ground to maintain the vast network of public trails and relies on volunteer groups to help. Wild Montana, Backcountry Horseman, and many others help fill this need. In 2026 we have chosen Grizzly Creek Trail which is another high use trail in our drainage. This work will focus less on tread and more on brushing and improving some wet areas. Possibly some short trail reroutes will be included to avoid problem areas.
